Your prayers are yours. Be kind and honest in the community, don't post other people's private details, and remember Orant is a companion for prayer โ not a substitute for professional or emergency help. If you break these rules we may remove content or close your account.
These Terms are an agreement between you and Timi Ojo, the independent developer and operator of the Orant mobile app ("Orant", "we", "us"). By using Orant you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you should use Orant with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. You need an account only for community features and Backup & Sync; the rest of the app works without one.
Your prayers, testimonies, and requests belong to you. So that the app can work, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, back up, display, and transmit your content โ solely to operate Orant and only as you direct. For example: syncing your prayers to your own devices, showing a request you posted to the community, or delivering a section you shared to the friend you chose. This licence ends for content you delete, except for copies already shared with others at your direction or copies we must keep for legal or safety reasons.
You are responsible for what you post. Only share content you have the right to share.
Orant's community exists so people can pray for one another. To keep it safe and prayerful:
You can report any request, group, or user from within the app or by emailing hello@timiojo.com, and you can block any user so they cannot contact or invite you. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion to keep the community safe. We are not obligated to monitor content, and content posted by users does not represent our views.
Orant is a tool for personal prayer and spiritual practice. It does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, and content in the app โ including prayers, scriptures, and community requests โ is not a substitute for professional care. Never delay or disregard professional help because of something in Orant. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. Prayer requests in the community are not monitored in real time.
The Orant app, its design, and the prayers, scripture compilations, and other content we provide (such as the Prayer Library) are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them within the app for your own prayer life. Please don't copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its content, or use it to build a competing service.
Do not attempt to break, probe, or overload Orant; access other users' data; scrape the service; reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows; or use Orant to send unsolicited messages.
You can stop using Orant at any time and delete your account in the app or via our account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, and we may discontinue features (or the service) with reasonable notice where possible. Sections that by their nature should survive termination โ including 4, 6, 7, 10, and 11 โ survive.
Orant is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of data not caused by our fault โ please keep backups. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of US$50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, and nothing affects your statutory consumer rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the courts of Lagos State โ though if you live elsewhere you keep any protection and rights to bring claims locally that your local law gives you. If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these Terms; for meaningful changes we will notify you in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use Orant after that means you accept the new Terms.
